Polling Place Procedures for COVID-19

Social Distancing

  • The polling places are set up according to suggested social and physical
    distance guidelines where possible to allow for 6 feet between voters.
  • Markers are placed on the floors to assist with distance spacing.
  • Poll workers are encouraged to allow a limited number of voters inside the polling location during voting hours.

No Contact Voting

  • Disposable ballot marking devices are provided for every voter.

Cleaning and Sanitizing

  • All voting equipment is frequently sanitized.
  • Poll workers are encouraged to wash or sanitize their hands frequently.
  • Poll workers are provided with KN95 masks for use while in the polling location
    as well as disposable protective masks.
  • Face shields are provided for those workers who wish to wear one.
  • Plexiglas protection shields are provided for use at the voter check-in area.
  • All surfaces are cleaned frequently.
  • Voters are encouraged to use their own pen for signing the signature roster.

Frisco PAC to host Virtual Forum for 2020 Candidates

The Frisco Political Action Committee (Frisco PAC) today invited candidates seeking election to Frisco City Council or Frisco ISD Board of Trustees to participate in a series of virtual Candidate Fora (Forums) leading up to the November 2020 General Election.

There will be three (3) events, one for each contested race in the upcoming election: Council Place 5, Council Place 6 and ISD Place 4. The proposed dates are:

  • Frisco ISD, Place 4 – Tuesday, September 29 
  • Frisco City Council, Place 5 – Wednesday, September 30 
  • Frisco City Council, Place 6 – Thursday, October 1 

Each forum will be scheduled to start at 7:30 PM and hosted through Zoom, as well as live-streamed through Facebook. Each forum is expected to last between 45-90 minutes.
